Epic Lore Archive is a desktop creator tool built for writers, roleplayers, and character designers who need a structured, local-first workspace to organize everything in their creative universe.

Store and manage detailed character profiles, persona cards, AI model configurations, and rich world lorebooks — all searchable, tagged, and kept entirely on your machine. Import and export as JSON or plain text, link lorebooks to characters, use the brainstorm tool to develop ideas, and chat with your configured AI models for creative assistance.

Track your creator profile and every platform you publish on. Recover deleted items from the built-in trash. Customize your workspace with 18 themes and manage AI settings with saved keys for every provider.

Image and music organization sections are coming soon. Epic Lore Archive is a creator's workspace, not a generator — it keeps your work organized, accessible, and under your control.

(function() { var idx = 0, total = 4, timer; var track = document.getElementById('elaTrack'); var dots = document.getElementById('elaDots').children; function update() { track.style.transform = 'translateX(-' + (idx * 25) + '%)'; for (var i = 0; i < total; i++) dots[i].classList.toggle('active', i === idx); } function autoplay() { timer = setInterval(function() { idx = (idx + 1) % total; update(); }, 4000); } window.elaSlide = function(d) { clearInterval(timer); idx = (idx + d + total) % total; update(); autoplay(); }; window.elaGoTo = function(i) { clearInterval(timer); idx = i; update(); autoplay(); }; autoplay(); })();

5. AI Integration & Third-Party API Services

Epic Lore Archive includes optional AI features that connect directly to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, Gemini, DeepSeek, or OpenRouter) using credentials you supply.

By using AI features, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Your API key is stored exclusively on your local device and is never transmitted to, stored by, or accessible by Epic Lore Archive or its creator(s).
  • When you send a prompt, your API key and content are sent directly from your device to the AI provider you have chosen — Epic Lore Archive acts only as a local relay.

Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 3, 2026

Epic Lore Archive respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is stored, and how it is used.

1. What We Collect

Epic Lore Archive does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal information on external servers.

The Application stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Content you create: characters, personas, lorebooks, models, and related metadata
  • Application settings and preferences
  • AI configuration: your selected provider, model name, temperature, max tokens, and system prompt
  • API keys you choose to save via the Saved Keys feature

None of this information leaves your device or is accessible by Epic Lore Archive.

2. API Keys & Local Storage

If you use the AI features, you provide your own API key from a third-party provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, Gemini, DeepSeek, or OpenRouter).

  • Your API key is stored in a local file on your device (ai_config.json / ai_saved_keys.json).
  • Epic Lore Archive does not transmit your API key to any server it operates.
  • Your key is sent directly from your device to the AI provider you have selected — solely to authenticate your request.
  • You are responsible for keeping your local files secure.

3. AI Prompts & Conversations

When you use AI features, your prompts and the AI's responses are processed directly between your device and the third-party AI provider.

  • Epic Lore Archive does not log, store, review, or transmit your AI conversations.
  • Conversations exist only in memory while the chat window is open and are not written to disk by Epic Lore Archive.
  • Each AI provider may retain data per their own privacy policy. Please review the privacy policy of your chosen provider.

4. Third-Party AI Providers

Epic Lore Archive integrates with third-party AI services at your direction. These services have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle your data.

You are encouraged to review the policies of any provider you use:

5. No Accounts or Telemetry

Epic Lore Archive does not require an account to use.

The Application does not include analytics, crash reporting, or usage telemetry of any kind. No data about how you use the Application is collected or sent anywhere.

6. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally, its security depends on your device's own security.

We recommend:

  • Keeping your operating system and device secured
  • Not sharing your API keys or local database files with others
  • Regularly backing up your local data

7. Your Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • The content you create and store
  • The security of your local device and files
  • Compliance with your AI provider's terms of service

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the Application evolves. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
